About GOLE Network

GOLE Network is a community-driven knowledge and discussion platform for Somalis worldwide, helping people discover, share, and preserve useful knowledge, communities, and opportunities.

It is built for Somalis worldwide — the diaspora and those at home, across every profession, age, and level of literacy. It is also known as GOLE Somali Network, and lives at golesn.com.

Why it exists

Somali knowledge is scattered, largely oral, and easily lost. The answer to a question about visas, university admissions, farming, or setting up a business usually exists — but it lives in someone's head, or in a group chat that scrolled away last month. The next person to need it starts from nothing.

GOLE Network makes that knowledge durable, searchable, and credible. A good answer written here is still findable years later, by someone who was never in the room.

How it works

  • Communities organize knowledge by subject — technology, education, health, agriculture, and more.
  • Questions and answers let people ask openly and mark what actually solved the problem.
  • Reputation makes contribution visible, so you can tell who has a track record on a subject.
  • Moderation keeps the shared record accurate and the space safe.

Three languages, one platform

Somali, English, and Arabic are all first-class here. You can read the interface in any of them — Arabic laid out right-to-left — and post in whichever language serves your answer best. The language you read the interface in is separate from the languages you want to see posts in.

What we care about

Calm, trustworthy, and Somali-rooted. The interface stays out of the way so the knowledge leads. We are not trying to hold your attention — we are trying to answer your question and let you get on with your day.

About the organization

GOLE Network is an independent platform built to help Somali communities preserve and exchange useful knowledge online. It is founded and led by Aoubak, Founder & CEO.

GOLE Network launched in 2026 and is being developed as a long-term knowledge platform for Somali communities worldwide.
