Your privacy controls
Choose who can view your profile, see who you have blocked, and understand what stays public.

Your controls live under Settings → Privacy. The full detail is in the privacy policy; this is the practical summary.
Profile visibility
Three options:
- Public — anyone can view your profile, including people without an account.
- Members only — only signed-in members can view it.
- Private — only you can view it.
Setting your profile to private also removes you from public leaderboards and marks you as private in community member lists.
What stays public regardless
Profile visibility controls your profile page. It does not retract what you have already posted:
- Your posts and comments stay visible in the communities where you wrote them.
- Your username stays attached to them.
- Votes are anonymous — nobody can see who voted on what.
- Your email address is never shown to other members.
If you want something you wrote to stop being visible, edit or delete that post — changing your profile visibility will not do it.
Blocked people
Settings → Privacy also lists everyone you have blocked, with an unblock control. Blocked people cannot message you or start a conversation with you.
What staff can and cannot see
Moderators and administrators can see anything you post in public — posts, comments, and your profile. That is what posting in public means.
They cannot read your direct messages. Access to a conversation is restricted to the people in it at the database level, and there is no moderator override — the admin tools have no screen that shows message contents.
That does not make your messages secret. They are stored on our servers and are not end-to-end encrypted, so treat them as private rather than confidential: never send passwords, verification codes, identity documents, or bank details in a direct message — to anyone, on any platform.
Deleting your account
Account deletion is not yet self-service. Contact support from the email address on your account and the team will handle it.
