How to report content
Report a post, comment, person, or community, and what happens after you send it.

If something breaks the community guidelines, report it. Moderators review every report.
How to report
Open the ⋯ menu on the post, comment, profile, or community and select Report. You will be asked for a reason:
- Spam — advertising, repetition, or bulk posting.
- Abuse — hateful, threatening, or degrading content.
- Misinformation — false claims presented as fact. This matters most for health, legal, and immigration content, where being wrong causes real harm.
- Harassment — someone targeting a specific person.
- Other — anything else.
You can add details. Do add them — "this is the fourth account posting the same link today" tells a moderator something the report reason alone cannot.
What happens next
Your report goes into the moderation queue. A moderator reviews it and decides what to do: remove the content, warn the author, or take no action if nothing was broken.
You are notified when your report is resolved, so you are not left wondering.
Reporting a direct message
You cannot report an individual message. Report the person instead, from their profile.
One thing to know: because moderators cannot read direct messages, they will not see what was sent to you. Your description is the only evidence they have. In the report details, say exactly what happened, quote what was said, and give dates — "he is harassing me in DMs" is much harder to act on than a report that quotes the messages.
Block them as well. Blocking stops the contact immediately; the report is what gets the behaviour looked at.
Reports are confidential
The person you reported is not told who reported them.
What not to report
Reporting is for rule-breaking, not for disagreement. A post you think is wrong is a post to reply to. Reporting things that break no rule slows down the queue for the reports that matter.
Urgent situations
If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. We can remove content, but we cannot reach anyone in person.
